| Pregnant Body Cast by Racheal |
Ever thought about capturing that special moment? Well, now you can with a beautiful Pregnant Body Cast by Racheal.
A native of New Zealand, a Maori, Racheal Ward grew up in Australia, and now lives in Columbus, Ohio. Racheal was inspired by her first pregnancy back in 2000, three days before her son Sydney was born.
With the help of her husband, Darryl, they proceeded to make their first body cast, which is made out of plaster bandages, decoupage with tissue paper and a free-hand design, drawn and painted with acrylics.
She named her Body Cast "Lotus." (In Buddhism, the Lotus is associated with enlightenment. The leaves and flowers open at dawn and close at dusk, making this a perfect symbol of light. The Lotus also represents Cosmic Harmony, and Racheal felt very much in harmony throughout her whole pregnancy, thus feeling enlightened.)
If you are pregnant or know someone who is and would like to celebrate the pregnancy with an original piece of art, please call Racheal for further information:
